Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him and He will direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
This is what I refer to as my “life scripture.” This one scripture has helped me through so many seasons and let me tell you, as I have submitted to Him and trusted Him, I have seen these words hold true every time.
As I submit to and trust Him, I find peace in knowing that I am exactly where I am meant to be, when I’m meant to be there, at any given moment, despite what I see in the natural around me. God is so amazing!
If you read my last post ( https://soaronwings.blog/2020/04/13/not-a-diversion-but-a-part-of-his-beautiful-masterpiece/ ) you will see that in January of this year God put it on my heart that this is a season of discovery and He put it on my heart that I need additional healing and He wants to break down the wall that keeps me from moving forward.
I had a week of ministry scheduled for April and I faced what I call a “God delay.” It turned out it wasn’t quite His perfect timing, but I then heard Him tell me to be still and wait. I trusted His process. This scripture is one I started to see everywhere:
Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord! (Psalm 27:14)
I wouldn’t have it any other way. God’s way and God’s timing is perfect. He has been doing so much work and growth in me during this time of waiting. It’s definitely been a God appointed extended preparation for my week of ministry and I can look back and say I am so thankful for the delay, because I know that He has been so mightily at work!
Even on the drive in God showed me how His hand is with me and my son, how He is individually looking upon us and directing us as I submit to and trust Him. As we were driving and when we stopped along the way, we kept coming across awesome and amazing things at just the right time to see them!
This is just the beginning.
